The Maryland General Assembly just wrapped up a challenging 2025 Legislative Session marked by unprecedented levels of federal turmoil, as well as state fiscal challenges. Throughout the session, my guiding principles were to continue to protect the rights of Marylanders and advance our values in our state.
In spite of all the challenges we’ve faced this year, it was a tremendous privilege to serve as one of your state lawmakers in what was a highly productive 90-day session. Of the roughly 2,600 bills introduced in the legislature this year, nearly 900 were sent to Governor Wes Moore for his signature. Eight of the bills I sponsored this year passed the legislature, and three more of my bills were consolidated into other bills that passed.
