Julie has earned the endorsements of the LGBTQ Democrats of Montgomery County and the Montgomery County Public Schools Retirees Association.
Julie also earned a perfect score from NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland.
“Our leaders in Annapolis enabled Maryland to become the first state to approve marriage equality by referendum. We appreciate the tremendous support provided by the incumbents and are excited by the energy exhibited by the field of new candidates,” said Michael Knaapen, president of the LGBTQ Democrats. “The endorsement process focused on multiple factors, including a candidate’s history of support for the LGBTQ community and its causes, intended future support, knowledge of LGBTQ challenges, clarity of response, honesty, and intent for engagement of the LGBTQ community."
